THE HAPPINESS PROGRAM
Initiated by the CEO Office in 2019.
The Happiness Program is a morale booster designed to send a clear message from management: “Everybody is important and valuable.” It serves as the foundation of our culture, practicing various ways to bond with our employees and bridge the gap between onshore management and offshore crews.
Marcap – "One Big Family"
This campaign highlights our commitment to supporting our Seafarers. Through a dedicated hotline, crew members can reach out for guidance or a compassionate ear. This initiative minimizes physical and emotional distance, ensuring seafarers feel heard and valued regardless of their location.
Coffee with the CEO
Regular informal gatherings where employees sit with leadership to share ideas, discuss concerns, and build personal connections.
Cultural & Sports Activities
From bowling sessions to visits to cultural landmarks like the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan, we believe in discovering new things together. Sharing these experiences brings our people closer and involves family members to build deeper connections.
Celebrating Milestones
Through our "Smile of the Month" and birthday celebrations, we recognize the personal moments that matter.
Corporate Fitness
We battle the sedentary nature of office work through dedicated training sessions. When vessels are accessible, we extend these sessions onboard, increasing awareness of physical health and connecting with colleagues in a fun atmosphere.
Connecting Office and Sea
We organize regular vessel visits for all office employees to bridge the gap between our onshore and offshore teams. This hands-on experience helps everyone understand our core operations and builds a stronger, unified company family.

HEALTH, SAFETY & EXCELLENCE
At Marcap, safety is a core value.
We maintain a proactive safety culture where Zero Harm is the only acceptable standard. We are committed to providing a secure work environment, certified to ISO 45001:2018 and complying with the ADOSH-SF framework. To combat complacency and ensure vigilance, we implement a comprehensive range of initiatives:
Leadership Engagement
Safety starts at the top. Our management is actively involved through vessel visits, direct messages, and communication tools like Newsletters and WhatsApp groups to constantly reinforce our safety culture.
Awareness Campaigns
We utilize engaging safety videos, including messages from leadership , to combat complacency and strengthen peer to peer intervention. Other campaigns such as Beat the Heat, Waste Segregation and Safety campaigns remind our crew that their health, safety and protecting the environment matters the most.
Comprehensive Preparedness
Mandatory training sessions and in house inductions ensure everyone is equipped with essential HSEQ knowledge from day one. Also, regular drills and demonstration trainings ensure all personnel are capable of responding effectively in emergencies.
Safety Enhancement Software
We utilize an innovative digital tool that empowers our crew. It allows seafarers to stay engaged, access training modules, and connect directly with the onshore team. Crucially, it provides a safe channel to report incidents or near misses anonymously, ensuring transparency without fear.
Wellness for Safety
We recognize that a healthy crew is a safe crew. By promoting mental and physical health through dedicated training and our Wellness Program, we increase focus and ensure safer operational outcomes.
HSE Recognition
We reward engagement. Vessel crews who actively report observations and suggest improvements are recognized, with the most dedicated members receiving certificates and awards on a monthly basis.

The skills of our people are essential to our business. We utilize structured systems to ensure everyone—onshore and offshore—understands the business and grows with it.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
We use a structured TNAS process to identify skill gaps and customize training programs. This optimizes resource allocation and ensures our workforce remains competent and motivated.
Vessel Familiarization Visits
We encourage onshore staff—even those in non-technical roles—to visit our vessels. Witnessing the machinery, the scale of the vessels, and the environment our seafarers work in helps everyone appreciate each other’s contribution to the business.
Continuous Learning
Through platforms like ShipArc and our Trainer Planner, we ensure training is accessible to everyone, aligning personal development with company growth.
